Seek First the Kingdom

Scripture: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33

Devotional:
Jesus reminds us to prioritize God’s kingdom above all else. Seeking His kingdom means aligning our lives with His will, and trusting that He will provide for our needs. It is an act of faith to put God first, especially when faced with life’s uncertainties.

This verse is a call to reorder our priorities, placing eternal values above temporary concerns. When we seek His righteousness, we grow in faith and experience His peace and provision.

Illustration:
A compass always points north, guiding travelers toward their destination. In the same way, seeking God first keeps us on the right path, no matter what challenges arise.

Challenge:
Evaluate your priorities this week. Make a deliberate effort to spend time in prayer and Scripture each day, seeking God’s guidance for your decisions.
