Scripture: “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” – John 6:35
Devotional:
Jesus declares Himself the Bread of Life, emphasizing that only He can satisfy our deepest spiritual hunger. While the world offers temporary satisfaction, Jesus provides lasting fulfillment and nourishment for our souls.
Coming to Jesus means placing our faith in Him and relying on Him daily. Just as physical bread sustains our bodies, He sustains us spiritually, giving us strength, peace, and purpose.
Illustration:
A feast satisfies hunger for a moment, but soon we need to eat again. In contrast, the bread Jesus offers nourishes us eternally. Imagine a starving person who finds an unlimited supply of bread and shares it joyfully with others. That’s the abundance Jesus provides to those who come to Him.
Challenge:
Reflect on where you’ve been seeking satisfaction apart from Christ. Spend time in prayer and Scripture this week, asking Him to fill you with His presence and share His love with someone in need.
