Scripture: “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” – John 11:25

Devotional:
Jesus spoke these words to Martha after the death of her brother, Lazarus, revealing His power over death and His promise of eternal life. As the Resurrection and the Life, Jesus assures us that death is not the end for those who believe in Him.

This verse reminds us that the hope of eternal life is not just a future promise but a present reality. Through faith in Jesus, we experience new life here and now, empowered by His presence and grace.

Illustration:
A tree that appears lifeless in winter bursts into bloom in spring, reminding us of the renewal and life that follows a season of dormancy. Similarly, Jesus brings life and hope, even in the face of death.

Challenge:
Reflect on the hope of eternal life this week. Share this promise with someone who may need encouragement or assurance of God’s love.
